About the program
A practical path from ambition to a durable career.
SOAR Skills is a scholarship track created through LOAR PLLC, Kumo’s sister company, as part of the broader SOAR Texas mission. It supports early-career students pursuing their first primary trade, technical skill, certification, apprenticeship, or applied career pathway.

SOAR Skills considers a broad range of legitimate training programs that lead toward employment. Examples include:
Construction & building
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, masonry, and heavy equipment.
Healthcare & medical
Nursing and clinical support, dental hygiene, medical assisting, phlebotomy, surgical technology, and emergency medical training.
Technology & infrastructure
Cybersecurity, network administration, IT support, cloud systems, and data-center technology.
Transportation & industry
Automotive and diesel technology, aviation maintenance, commercial driving, CNC, industrial maintenance, robotics, and quality systems.
